2024 Fido Awards Ceremony - BFI Stephen Street

The 2024 event is invite only - if you’d like to attend please drop an email to meg@thefidoawards.com

The Fido Awards is the oscars...but for dogs. Yep, you read that right. It's a lot of fun, and it something of a cult secret in the film world. Toby Rose, our founder, began the 'Palm Dog' award in 2001, and then the FIDOS were launched in 2007. Where our sister ceremony, 'The Palm Dog', covers Cannes films, the Fido awards open its nominees to all films across the year. The Fido’s ceremony is a family friendly and fun way of celebrating the ever greater contribution of canines on the big screen. Think your typical Awards Season red carpets - but with lots of dogs, dog influencers, film industry names and faces!

Jean-Christophe Bouvet is honouring us as our Special Guest Presenter (AKA Pierre Cadault from Emily in Paris).

Our 2024 event is raising the bark as it has been an extra special year because of the big number of dogs in film from Barbie to Wonka to Napoleon. Plus there has been a trend of dogs starring alongside A listers, from Tilda Swinton to Will Ferrell to Mark Wahlberg.
